Child Safety Standards

Last updated: July 15, 2026

At KARIBI, we are deeply committed to ensuring a safe, trusted, and protected environment for all users, particularly children. We maintain absolute zero tolerance for any content that endangers, exploits, or harms minors.

1. Zero-Tolerance Policy (CSAM/CSAE)

KARIBI has a strict, absolute zero-tolerance policy against the creation, distribution, or promotion of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE). We strictly prohibit:

  • Visual depictions, sharing, or facilitation of sexual abuse or exploitation of minors.
  • Attempted grooming, solicitation, or harmful communication targeting children.
  • Promotion or facilitation of child trafficking or endangerment.

2. Proactive Prevention and Moderation

To enforce these standards, we actively employ multiple protective layers:

  • Profile Verification: Every user in a neighborhood must be verified, preventing anonymous bad actors from interacting with the community.
  • Content Filtering & Scanning: Automated scanning checks are used to flag and prevent the upload of inappropriate images, media, or text strings.
  • Human Review: A dedicated moderation team reviews flagged posts, accounts, and reports.

3. In-App Reporting

All members have access to direct in-app reporting tools. If you encounter any content, profile, or message that raises safety concerns or violates our standards:

  • Tap the Report flag next to any post or comment to send it directly to our moderation queue.
  • Use the profile card to block or report a user.
  • Contact our team immediately at support@karibi.com.

4. Reporting to NCMEC and Law Enforcement

In compliance with federal and international laws, KARIBI takes immediate action when child exploitation is identified:

  • Immediate Removal & Termination: The violating content is removed immediately, and the offending account is permanently banned.
  • NCMEC Reporting: We preserve all relevant metadata and files and file an official CyberTipline report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
  • Law Enforcement Cooperation: We coordinate directly with local and national law enforcement authorities to facilitate prosecutions.
